The Provocateurs are an exceptionally talented function and wedding band available for hire throughout the UK. All full time professional musicians our passion and energy on stage is seldom matched and guaranteed to be the perfect soundtrack with which to dance the night away.The band are fully self contained with all their own equipment and sound system suitable for up to 200 guests allowing you to feel confident we have taken care of all your musical needs. Addition PA can be hired for larger events if required.

Simon Hutchinson - Vocals

A rare talent, Simon's commanding presence and exceptional vocals make him the perfect frontman. As well as performing for

The Provocateurs Simon holds residencies as a solo performer and continues to work on a wide variety of original projects.

Brad Edmondson - Guitar

Brad emerged as a leading talent of the Royal Northern College of Music's session musicians’ course winning an award for

outstanding achievement presented at the Royal Albert Hall. During his time there he studied under Johnny Hayes and is in

high demand gigging throughout the North West and beyond.

Anthony Brett-Sharpe - Bass Guitar

With broad professional experience performing both jazz and pop Anthony continues to impress audiences throughout the UK.

Recent highlights have included performances at the Royal Variety Show as well as the X Factor but more is sure to come from this exceptional talent.

John Wood - Tenor Saxophone

John made his name as the lead saxophonist of Manchester University Jazz Orchestra. During that time John also managed the orchestra leading them to

incredible sell out concerts to crowds of up to 600 in and around the North West. Influenced by many of the great jazz and funk players such as

Maceo Parker and Kenny Garrett his soulful style and roaring solos are a must see at any gig.

Xavier Winton - Drums

After excelling at the Royal Northern College of Nusic under the tuition of Brian Hargreaves, Xavier continues to perform throughout the North West.

Highlights have included performances with notable jazz musicians Guy Barker and Martin Taylor aswell as a European Tour with originals band Soshin.

The Provocateurs wide ranging repertoire is suitable for all occasions, comprising of songs that have not only inspired us but of course will have you on the dance floor all night.The band will choose songs on the night as they feel best suite the audience and occasion.
