After having been together a number of years playing at venues up and down the country Soul Routes have more than enough experience and know-how to ensure that a terrific evenings entertainment is always guaranteed whatever the event. Be it a social occasion like a wedding ,or a corporate celebration, a party atmosphere is assured! The vibrant stage prescence which is the domain of frontman and lead vocalist Graham is more than ably supported by a tightly knit rhythm section comprising original guitarist Jules, Gav on funk-fuelled bass guitar and the solid groove of sticksman Stu. Stevie Wonder is a great influence on keyboard man Phil who is also responsible for harmonious backing vocals - a skill he has in common with our resident brass section which includes the delectable Jill on tenor sax, the amazing Dave on trumpet and the truly,truly brilliant talent that is Tony (ex Martha Reeves no less) on tenor,alto and baritone sax. The band's live repetoire encompasses a wide range of classic soul sounds from the legendary Stax and Motown stables many of which have featured in films such as the Blues Brothers and the Commitments and include songs by such legendary artists as Stevie Wonder,Otis Redding, James Brown,The Temptations, Wilson Pickett, The Isley Brothers etc, etc ..the list goes on! for more information or to check availability please contact our office on the details below.
