Here are some examples of the kinds of psychological routines Peter Owen can perform which would work well alongside or in place of standard walkaround magic.

Guess Which Hand

A spectator takes a coin from his pocket, initials the coin and we begin a game of
guessing which hand the coin is in. He puts both hands behind his back, then secretly places the coin in one of his hands and brings both hands forward.

He is instructed to try and not give away any signs which hand the coin is. I guess correctly numerous times in a row using my knowledge of body language. Finally I ask the spectator to concentrate on the feel of the coin in his hand, as I motion around the closed fist. He begins to feel the coin bend in his hand. Upon inspection the signed coin really is bent and I have been nowhere near his coin since he initialled it.

An alternative presentation I often use for a female spectator is the same as above but she uses one of her finger rings – one which holds sentimental value (obviously I do not bend the ring!). I sometimes end this by revealing a specific memory she has linked to the ring – see below under IMPORTANT PERSON AND MEMORY FROM THE PAST for further info.

Spoon Bending

This is very visual bending of metal. No funny moves, just pure freaky entertainment that links three melting type bends until finally a spoon twists 180 degrees, then the head drops of the floor.  During each bend there is no movement of my hands and the spoons are held at fingertips as the bend slowly occurs. The spoons are all checked and shown to be normal prior to the demonstration.
